Continuing the constant stream of event reruns and the addition of event recaps, we now have “An Unconcealed Heart” along with 4 rate-up banners, namely Tsukuyo, Iroha, and Kaede being rerun students and Kaho for our new student. In this article, we will briefly go over whether or not Kaede is worth pulling for.
Overview
Kaede is a Permanent 3* Special student who has sometimes found usage as a Shielder with her EX Skill. While she may only provide defensive utility to the team, her Shields have a decently long duration with a high HP to back it up.

As for raids, there isn't really a place for her to shine as other students can perform her role at a lower investment. She can be used in raids that reduce overall healing effects, such as ShiroKuro or Goz Insane. Outside of this, she can be brought into any raid where you need multiple teams to clear.

Now that we know what Kaede provides to the team, is she worth pulling for? First and foremost, if Kaede is your favorite student, then don't let this guide stop you from pulling her. As at the end of the day it is your game and account.
For both newer players and older players, No. While Kaede is a strong AoE shielder with a strong multiplier and high Healing stat to back it up. She provides nothing but defensive utility with no offensive buffs, which can hurt the team's overall damage output. In addition to this, both Kotori and Mari are low-rarity students, and farmable alternatives available for everyone to invest into Unique Equipment 50 without any Elephs spent.
