As the previous dead week comes to an end, we are once again introduced to an event recap, “A Revolutionary Ivan Kupala”. This recap also comes with 2 returning student banners, Cherino and Marina. In this article, we will be briefly going over Marina’s use case and whether she is worth your pulling.
Overview
Marina is a Permanent 3* Piercing Striker student who can be used as a tank in both PvE and PvP content. She falls under the category of being an Evasion (EVA) tank, which means her overall DEF value is low. With Unique Equipment 40 (UE40), she gains a substantial boost to survivability.

In PvP, Marina has mainly found usage during Indoors 1 as a tank that could potentially clear out the backline if they have Heavy armor. She is also able to apply Invincible on herself when her HP falls below 20% via Basic Skill. This allows your team to build up more cost, giving your team a chance to turn the fight around. However, do note that since Marina has low HP and DEF stats, she can be prone to getting one-shotted preventing her from activating the Basic Skill’s effects. Unlocking UE40 helps circumvent this issue by providing her with a decent increase to her Max HP.

Now that we know what Marina provides to the team, is she worth pulling for? First and foremost, if Marina is your favorite student, then don't let this guide stop you from pulling her. As at the end of the day it is your game and account.
In general, no. Marina is mostly a PvP-oriented student who saw a lot of usage in PvP Indoors 1 and while she does perform well in that content, there are usually farmable tank alternatives available, such as Yuuka, Tsubaki, and Haruka. In addition to this, there are some high-priority banners you will want to look out for if you are planning on clearing Gregorius.
