As we finish up the current dead week and rerun banners, we have a returning event, "New Year’s Rhapsody No.68". This event features 2 new students, Kayoko (New Year) and Haruka (New Year). This event rerun also brings back 3 returning students Mutuski (New Year) + Aru (New Year) who are both Limited characters and Serika (New Year) a Permanent student. In this article, we will briefly go over whether Mutsuki (New Year) is worth pulling for or saving for another banner.
Overview
NY.Mutsuki is a Limited 3* Mystic Striker student who has mainly seen usage as an AoE damage dealer. Similar to most other damage dealers, she highly appreciates having her UE40 or UE50 unlocked for the extra damage boost. Unique Equipment 40 is usually a good stopping point if you want to save Eligmas, as Enhanced+ gives her Defense Piercing.
As an AoE Mystic damage dealer, She has mostly been used for Goz and Perorodzilla as her EX Skill is large enough to cover both Screamrider spawns and is able to deal significant damage to the Perorominion. Note that it can be difficult to use NY.Mutsuki in general content, as her EX Skill, only hits enemies towards the very end of a cone-shaped AoE. While this isn't an issue in most raids since most enemies will be at the edge of her AoE. However, there will be enemies constantly moving towards you in general content, which can make it difficult to fully utilize her EX Skill.

First and foremost, if Mutsuki is your favorite student, then don't let this guide stop you from pulling her. As at the end of the day it is your game and account.
In general, Yes. NY.Mustuki is an extremely strong AoE damage dealer who has one of the largest AoE on an EX Skill and performs well in both raids and general content. Her main use case comes from Goz and Perorodzilla, as both raids favor AoE.
For newer players who are looking to expand their roster or lack an AoE Mystic damage dealer, NY.Mutsuki is an extremely strong pick-up. She also shares banners with other high-priority or strong students such as NY.Kayako, who is a top-tier Mystic buffer that has become a core pickup for all Mystic raids. An argument can be made to skip this banner if you are running low on Pyroxenes and only have enough to secure NY.Kayoko as she is a higher priority.
